A group of seven color lithographic posters published by Scribner's to advertise its monthly magazine and its contents. The issues advertised-1896-1900--include several works by J.M. Barrie--Sentimental Tommy and Tommy and Grizel. The printers of these lithographs include Grignard Litho.Co. and J. Ottmann Litho. of N.Y.

James Matthew Barrie (1860-1937) was a playwright and novelist who is chiefly remembered as the creator of Peter Pan.
